Sat, March 24, 2018 - 8:00 pm - $6

Yid Vicious will kick out the klezmer jams aided by esteemed alumni and special guests galore, and will mark the occasion of Steve McQueen's 88th birthday with a springtime movie music mashup.

In support of today's March for Our Lives demonstrations across the country, proceeds from tonight's concert will be donated to Everytown for Gun Safety.

Stelth Ulvang w/ Stephanie Rearick

Thu, April 12, 2018 - 8:00 pm - $8

Stelth Ulvang never slows down. Even on stage as the multi-instrumentalist of The Lumineers, he dashes from piano to guitar, from drums to accordion. His solo music has been described as "raw and whimsical chamber folk" though at times enveloping just a simple folk song, bursting at the seams. His recordings stretch his melodies and lyrics, at it’s grandest, with a 20 piece chamber orchestra. Live,

Stelth is mostly accompanied by his partner in crime, Dorota Szuta. Together they waltz around instruments, handing guitars or a bass back and forth, and building harmonies on tops of the trails of each others melodies. Dorota adds a...

Native Harrow

Sat, April 14, 2018 - 8:00 pm - $7

Through a rising din of cello glissandi, hissing slide guitars, backwards tape, and analog noise a warm, rich voice, at once accessible in its darkness and stark in its honesty, picks up the story in mid conversation-

“I am expected to run things around this place. Take it all in, make it better, never show your face. Where do I go with that?”

Sorores, the new 90-minute double album from Native Harrow begins here, with a 12- minute suite covering the collapse of a close loved one on the New York City subway and an exploration of a nostalgia for a human connection that may never have existed. The debut LP Ghost (2015) established a...

Paul Otteson w/ Zak Trojano

Sat, May 12, 2018 - 8:00 pm - $7

Wrapped in a shroud of fabled stories, forgotten characters, and haunted landscapes; Paul Otteson has found his stride as a songwriter and as a composer. Upon releasing his debut album February Fables in 2011, Otteson garnered immediate recognition as a thoughtful storyteller and prolific songwriter. Five albums later, now with band in tow; his group has established itself as a mainstay in the Madison music scene.

Zak Trojano is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, a finger style guitar player, a fly-fisherman, and a beer drinker. He watches more than he talks, the guy at the end of the bar nursing a drink while the afternoon light...
