Artist statement: Hi, I'm Art Paul Schlosser and I have been painting for years but recently painting a painting a day has stretch my ability and I have found that I am getting better and have moved beyond abstract and flowers and animals to painting portraits and with the encouragement of my friend Chris Kammer I have done a whole bunch of famous people but perhaps somewhat in cartoon form. Barbara Allen’s desire for creative expression began early in life. During college, her passion continued to grow as she explored oil painting, pastels, creative writing, and music. With a degree in Art History, she began her career in interior design, which later evolved into lighting design.
After several unexpected turns along her life path, Barbara spent years working as a substance abuse counselor while also launching a pet portrait business.
