Barbara Allen - August 1

Barbara Allen’s desire for creative expression began early in life. During college, her passion continued to grow as she explored oil painting, pastels, creative writing, and music. With a degree in Art History, she began her career in interior design, which later evolved into lighting design.

After several unexpected turns along her life path, Barbara spent years working as a substance abuse counselor while also launching a pet portrait business. Her current work creating miniature organic nature-scapes grew from her redesign of an enchanted backyard garden incorporating natural and repurposed elements including stone, wood, mirrors, beads, plants, lighting, and water features.

Through her art, Barbara strives to create pieces that are beautiful, thought-provoking, quirky, and cool.
