Title: The acknowledged voice of my heart
Artist: Tad Alan Bruckner

Artist statement:
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and a concentration in painting. Since than I have moved to Madison, Wisconsin and have lived here the past 14 years.

The emphasis, support, and inspiration of my painting will lead you to a better understanding of the quality in my work. As a derivative I've found a sensitive balance, particularly in Arshile Gorky, Willem DeKooning, Jean Dubbuffet, Francis Bacon, and Robert Rausenberg.

The Content of my art ranges from the depictions of the surrealist imagination, to poignant and immediate representations of great intensity. My painting are a removal of images that allows the viewer to travel toward a state of uncertainty. Where the unknown, freedom, fantasy, and within a larger presence self discovery exist.

There will be a reception on Sunday, June 6 from 5 - 7 pm.
