Title: Eclecticism
Artist: Nicole Olthafer
Details:
Artist Statement: A collection of multi-media drawing, paintings, and collage that reflects a young woman's violent challenge and enlightened acceptance of society's archaic expectations and contemporary idealisms.
Despite the portrayal of these issues, they are not reflected in the dull, lifeless, depressing colors that seem to dominate current art. The artist instead selects bright, vibrant and optimistic colors to convey the eclectic experiences that can make a woman strong yet feminine.
